E-Structors, Inc. Recognized Nationally by Secure Destruction Magazine

ELKRIDGE, MD – September 15, 2008 – E-Structors, specializing in the secure destruction and recycling of computers, electronics and documents, announced today it has been listed as one of Secure Destruction Business magazine's top electronic scrap recyclers in the U.S. and Canada. Listed among North America’s top-tier electronic scrap recyclers, E-Structors ranks tied for 17 on the list.

E-Structors made the list based on the number of pounds it is moving through its Howard County facility. With only one location, E-Structors is listed as recycling an average of 12 million pounds annually compared to the largest recycler on the list who is doing 127 million pounds across seven facilities. A majority of electronic scrap comes from area schools, business and government agencies.

"Leaders in the electronic scrap recycling industry are emerging as the green movement continues to take shape," said Mike Keough, president of E-Structors. "This distinction demonstrates E-Structors' green leadership in the mid-Atlantic region and positions E-Structors as a national player in electronic scrap recycling. Since this list was compiled, we have already increased our pounds by 30 percent."

Through state-of-the-art proprietary methods, E-Structors has developed processes to ensure the secure destruction and 100 percent recycling of computers, electronics and paper documents. Nothing from an E-Structors process ever enters the nation's waste stream.

E-Structors is located in the center of Maryland's green movement, Howard County, where County Executive Ken Ulman has formed a Green Business Council to make the county a "model of green" community. E-Structors has been named one of the founding members of the Green Business Council and will work with the council to advocate best practices in green technology. Electronic scrap recycling has become a significant means to divert waste from landfills as well as a way to deliver raw materials to overseas countries where demand is increasing. What's more, with the digital television transition in February 2009, an increased awareness of electronic waste and recycling has emerged.
